Everything you need to know before booking and visiting the studio.
Booking

Appointments can be booked directly through the Book page of my website. Availability opens four weeks in advance. If you’re unsure which session length to choose, send me your design idea, approximate size, placement, and any reference images before booking.

Pricing is based on size, placement, and complexity. My current appointment minimum is $250 per person receiving a tattoo.
I’m happy to provide an estimated range once I know more about your idea.

Yes. I’m happy to create custom designs and variations of my existing flash as long as the idea fits my style.
I don’t reproduce another artist’s work exactly. My work is primarily black and grey, with limited color available for select designs.

No. All appointments are booked in advance.

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment and is applied toward your final tattoo total.
Standard appointments require an $80 deposit. Full-day solo sessions require $200, and full-day group sessions require $350.
Deposits may be transferred once to a new appointment with at least 48 hours’ notice. Additional reschedules may require a new deposit, and cancellations or no-shows forfeit the original deposit.

Yes. Digital gift cards are available through my website and can be used toward any eligible tattoo appointment with Sticknpoke Max.
Gift cards do not expire and can be applied toward the final balance of your appointment. Standard booking, deposit, cancellation, and rescheduling policies still apply.
Gift cards do not reserve an appointment or lock in current tattoo pricing.
Before Your Appointment

All tattoo clients must be 18+ with valid photo ID.

Please arrive well-rested, hydrated, and having eaten beforehand.
Avoid sunburn, heavy exfoliation, or anything that may irritate the area being tattooed in the days leading up to your appointment.

Wear something comfortable that allows easy access to the placement of your tattoo.
For example, loose sleeves, shorts, or layers can make the appointment more comfortable and help keep the area accessible.

Yes. One guest is welcome to join you unless otherwise noted.
Because the studio is private and intentionally small, I ask that you avoid bringing additional guests.

Yes, and I recommend it.
Please eat a proper meal beforehand and stay hydrated. You’re also welcome to bring water or a small snack with you.
Tattoos + Healing

Custom designs are typically prepared for your appointment rather than sent in advance.
We’ll review the design together when you arrive, and there’s time built into the appointment to make reasonable adjustments to size, placement, or small details before tattooing begins.
If you have a major change in direction or want to add additional tattoos, please message me before your appointment so I can make sure your scheduled session still allows enough time.

All tattoos soften and fade gradually over time. Fine-line tattoos can appear lighter as they age because they use less ink and more delicate linework.
Proper sizing, placement, aftercare, and sun protection all help support long-term healing. I’ll always recommend adjustments if I think a design needs to change to age well.

The surface usually heals within about 1–2 weeks, although the skin can continue settling beneath the surface for several more weeks.
During healing, mild redness, dryness, flaking, or itching can be normal. Full aftercare instructions are provided after your appointment.

Yes. Touch-ups are available for my existing work once the tattoo is fully healed.
If you notice an area that healed lighter than expected, send me a clear photo and I can let you know whether a touch-up is recommended.
Studio + Events

I work from a private, appointment-only studio in Santa Monica. Exact arrival and parking instructions are provided after booking.

Yes. Group sessions are available for friends, couples, and small groups getting tattooed together. Visit the Book page to view group session options.

Yes. I’m available for weddings, private parties, brand activations, corporate events, and select pop-ups.

Yes. I’m available for weddings, private parties, brand activations, and corporate events throughout Los Angeles, as well as select destination events.
Travel within Los Angeles is generally included in event pricing. Destination bookings may include airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, and a travel fee depending on the location.

The earlier the better, especially for weddings, weekends, and larger events.
Once your date, venue, timing, and event details are confirmed, a signed agreement and 50% deposit secure the booking. Last-minute events may still be possible depending on availability and any venue or permitting requirements.
